Terms of engagement

By accessing or using this website, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following Terms of Engagement. Please review them carefully before using our services.

These Terms of Engagement govern your use of our website and the services provided by Megan Melmore Health & Nutrition. They apply to all visitors, users, and clients who engage with our website or services.

1. Services

Megan Melmore Health & Nutrition provides nutritional therapy services designed to enhance health through dietary and lifestyle interventions. With a focus on preventative healthcare, all services are intended to support general wellbeing and health.

All consultations are confidential and conducted in line with UK privacy laws, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Information shared with us will only be used for providing nutritional therapy services.

You are required to complete and submit any necessary forms or diet diaries before your consultation. Failure to do so may result in delays or rescheduling of your session.

2. Client Responsibilities

Clients are responsible for providing accurate and up-to-date health information during consultations. Failure to disclose relevant medical history, medications, or other health factors may affect the effectiveness of the services.

By using our services, you agree to:

  • Contact your GP for any health concerns.

  • Inform your GP about the naturopathic protocol you will be following, and also inform any other complementary medicine practitioners you are consulting.

  • Disclose any medical conditions, medications, herbs, or supplements you are taking to your nutritional therapist, as these may affect the recommendations.

  • Understand that the advice provided is specific to you and should not be applied to others.

  • Seek clarification on any aspect of your plan if needed, and report any issues with the protocol to your practitioner.

  • Follow the plan for the prescribed time frame and consult with your practitioner before continuing beyond that.

  • Continue any prescribed medications unless advised otherwise by your doctor. If you have a medical condition, you are encouraged to discuss dietary or lifestyle changes with your doctor, as these may affect your treatment.

3. Functional Testing & Supplements

During consultations, private functional testing may be recommended. These tests are an additional cost and are not included in the consultation fee. Tests will not be ordered until payment is received, and once ordered, they are non-refundable.

Supplements may also be recommended alongside dietary and lifestyle changes. Supplement costs are not included in the consultation fee. These may be ordered through us, or you will be directed to where you can purchase them. Where applicable, discount codes will be provided, and a small commission may be earned from these purchases. This commission helps cover the time spent researching appropriate supplements for your specific needs. Purchasing supplements is optional and will not always be suggested.

4. Support Between Consultations

Support via email or messaging is available between consultations for minor queries. For more complex matters, we recommend saving your questions for your scheduled consultations.

5. Bookings & Cancellations

Consultations can be booked via email, and you will receive confirmation upon booking.

Most consultations are conducted online via Teams, and it is your responsibility to ensure a stable internet connection. In the event of a technical failure, the consultation will continue over the phone.

If you need to cancel or reschedule, please notify us as soon as possible. At least 24 hours’ notice is required. Late cancellations or no-shows will not be refunded.

6. Payments & Fees

All service fees will be clearly communicated before booking. Full payment is required upon receipt of your invoice, unless otherwise agreed. The consultation will not proceed without prior payment. If you have any questions regarding payments, please contact us at hello@meganmelmore.com.

7. Disclaimer

We do not diagnose or treat medical conditions, and the information provided through consultations or on this website is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

8. Record Retention Policy

Clients acknowledge that their practitioner will retain records, including documents, information, and data shared during the practitioner-client relationship, for a minimum of seven years in electronic form.
